Harold Walk has substantial experience in commercial & agricultural real estate, land management, commercial & agricultural lending and business management. Mr. Walk was born in Imperial Valley and raised on a farm by parents Jack & Emma Walk, who farmed on the north-end. He graduated Calipatria High School in 1973 followed by graduation by Imperial Valley College with an A.S. degree in Agricultural Business Management in 1975 and then Cal Poly, Pomona in 1975 with a degree in Agricultural Economics. After completing college, Mr. Walk was employed by Bank of America in its corporate lending group, followed by employment in San Diego by Pacific Southwest Realty Services. At Pacific Southwest, representing life insurance and pension fund clients, he bought, sold and managed land all over California. Mr. Walk returned to the valley in 1994, where he re-entered lending and subsequently served as President/CEO for Sun Community Federal Credit Union. More recently, he has been working as a land consultant with the renewable energy industry. Mr. Walk has performed many years of voluntary service in the valley, including currently serving on the Imperial County Mental Health Advisory Committee, and previously serving on the city of El Centro Planning Commission, El Centro Chamber of Commerce, Small Business Development Center advisory committee, El Centro Elementary School District Bond Oversight Committee, IVC Bond Oversight Committee, IVC Foundation Board, Financial Institutions Fund Committee (for education) and Imperial County Economic Development Loan Committee. Mr. Walk is also a member of the Rustlers Club social club.
